Galli Team Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Galli Team (“Galli Team,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit galliteam.com (the “Site”). Galli Team is a team of licensed California real estate professionals affiliated with Compass, a licensed California real estate broker. We wrote this policy in plain language so it’s easy to understand, and we keep it current with how the Site actually operates.

The Site is an informational “brochure” website. It introduces our team, describes the communities we serve, and provides resources for buyers and sellers. We do not require visitors to create an account or log in to browse the Site, and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers. The only personal information we collect is what you choose to give us, most commonly by filling out our Contact Us form.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways:

  • Information you provide directly. If you submit our Contact Us form (or any similar inquiry form on the Site, such as a request for a home valuation or a buyer’s/seller’s guide), we collect what you enter — typically your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message. We only receive this information if you choose to submit it.
  • Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and security infrastructure automatically logs basic technical data for every visit — such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages viewed — for security, troubleshooting, and site performance. As described in Section 3 below, we do not currently use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any other third-party tracking or marketing tools on the Site.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you submit only to:

  • Respond to your inquiry, question, or request for information;
  • Provide the specific resource you requested, such as a home valuation estimate or a buyer’s/seller’s guide;
  • Follow up about a potential real estate transaction, showing, or consultation;
  • Communicate with you by phone, text, or email if you’ve provided that information for that purpose; and
  • Maintain records as required by California real estate licensing and brokerage recordkeeping obligations.

We do not use your information for automated profiling or automated decision-making, and we do not use it to serve you targeted advertising.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share information with:

  • Compass — our affiliated brokerage — and members of the Galli Team, as needed to respond to your inquiry or represent you in a transaction;
  • Service providers who support the Site on our behalf, currently limited to our website hosting provider and Akismet (operated by Automattic Inc.), which screens Contact Us submissions for spam. Akismet may process the content, IP address, and email address associated with a submission solely to determine whether it is spam.   • Government authorities or other third parties when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Galli Team, our clients, or the public.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site currently uses only the minimal, first-party cookies necessary for basic functionality and security (for example, cookies set by our WordPress hosting platform to keep the Site running properly). We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking pixels. The honeypot field used for spam prevention on the Contact Us form does not use cookies at all — it works invisibly within the page itself.

Because we don’t use advertising or analytics cookies, there is currently no personal information collected through cookies to sell, share, or opt out of. If that ever changes, we will update this Policy first and provide a cookie banner and opt-out choices before any new tracking technology is activated.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Since we rely only on essential first-party cookies, blocking cookies should not affect your ability to browse the Site, though it may affect features like page load performance.

5. Your Privacy Rights

You have the following rights regarding the personal information you share with us, regardless of what state you live in:

  • Right to know what personal information we have collected about you and why;
  • Right to request a copy of, or the deletion of, the personal information we hold about you;
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Right to opt out of any future marketing communications at any time; and
  • Right to be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

We do not sell or share personal information. To exercise any right above, contact us using the information in Section 10.

6. Text Messages and Phone Calls

If you provide your phone number — for example, through our Contact Us form — a Galli Team member may call or text you about your inquiry. We do not send automated marketing text messages unless you’ve separately given prior express written consent, as required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). You can ask to stop receiving texts or calls at any time by replying “STOP,” telling us directly, or contacting us using the information in Section 10.

7. Email Communications

If you provide your email address, we may use it to respond to your inquiry or, if you’ve opted in, to send occasional updates such as new listings or market information. Any marketing email we send will include an unsubscribe link, consistent with the CAN-SPAM Act. You may unsubscribe at any time, and we will honor that request promptly.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for adults seeking real estate services and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we learn that we’ve inadvertently collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it.

9. Data Security and Retention

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect the information you share with us, including limiting the tools and third-party services connected to the Site to those described in this Policy. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We retain the information you submit only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, serve you as a client, or comply with California real estate recordkeeping requirements, after which we delete or de-identify it.

The Site links to third-party sites we don’t control, including Compass, Zillow, Google Maps, Nextdoor, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Yelp. This Policy doesn’t apply to those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies separately.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our Site or practices change. We will revise the “Effective Date” above whenever we make changes, and if we ever begin using cookies, analytics, or marketing tools beyond what’s described here, we will update this Policy — and add any legally required consent mechanism — before doing so.
